I received a lot of comments about all the new songs. One of the songs was new to the church, but the others have been sung in worship services and are not newly recorded songs. My question is "What is the Church listening to?" Why is our worship IQ so low when it comes to current music?

Super Bowl

Nothing against The Who, but can the NFL get a halftime act that's not 30 years past their prime? Thanks Justin and Janet.

Avatar and Worship

I was thinking about worship in the Church when I watched Avatar. The scenes when the whole village is chanting, swaying, and praying made me wonder why we don't have more fervor in our worship. Not looking for emotion, but where is the effort?

Authentic Worship

How do you balance authentic worship in music with skilled musicianship. Does playing good conflict with humbly leading? Does appearance and "coolness" factor into perception of ability or humility?

Worship Band

The band is six pieces- three guitars, bass, drums and precussion. Anybody else blending three guitars in worship? How is it working out?
